Boxumer is a mobile application that reads order confirmations from your email inbox, identifies the brands behind each verified purchase, and gives you a one-tap interface to rate the experience. Every rating is permanently tied to a real receipt, which makes the resulting brand reputation resistant to the manipulation, fake reviews, and incentivized ratings that distort most existing review platforms.

The product is currently live on the Apple App Store under the name Boxumer. An Android version is in development and can be requested through the waitlist on the home page. The platform is free for consumers; there are no paid placements, no sponsored ratings, and no editorial deals with brands.

Boxumer is a coined brand name — it combines the idea of a package (the box that arrives at your door) with the consumer who receives it. After installing the iOS app, you connect a personal email inbox using a standard OAuth flow. Boxumer scans the inbox for order confirmation emails from supported merchants and surfaces each verified purchase as a card in your feed. You can rate each brand experience with a thumbs-up or thumbs-down in under five seconds, optionally adding a short note about what went well or poorly.

Modern e-commerce trust signals — Trustpilot ratings, Amazon stars, Google reviews — were designed for a smaller, less adversarial internet. As review-for-cash markets, AI-generated reviews and incentivized rating campaigns scaled, the same signals became increasingly easy to manufacture and increasingly expensive for honest actors to maintain. Multiple independent studies put the share of fake or manipulated reviews on major platforms in the range of 30 to 40 percent.

Boxumer is built on a different architectural premise: instead of trying to detect fake reviews after the fact, it anchors every rating to a real receipt at the moment of creation. A rating without a verified purchase cannot enter the system. This shifts the trust model from "reputation by volume" to "reputation by proof", which is the conceptual pillar the rest of the platform is built on.

Boxumer is built by an independent team based in France.
